What is the procedure for my admission at Mallige?
When a consultant having admitting facilities refers you for admission at Mallige, you would have to approach the Inpatient Reception along with the instruction for admisssion from your consultant and preferably prescriptions for any medicines that you amy be taking in that period. Admission formalities would take about half an hour. An advance would be collected at the time of admission depending on the type of treatment for which you are getting admitted.

Can I reserve a room at Mallige?
Yes you can reserve a room at Mallige. You would have to approach the Inpatient Reception for reservation. You would be explained about the types of rooms available. You could select a room type that suits you and let the Reception know the date when you would require it. It would then be reserved for you against an advance.

What are the types of rooms available for admission?
The types of rooms available are General Ward- where 3-4 patients share a room, with a common bath. Semi Private Room without Attendant's Cot- where 2 patients share a room with a common bath. Semi private Room with Attendant's Cot- where 2 patients share a room with a common bath. Here a cot for the patient's attendant is provided. Private Room- where a single patient uses the room. There is an attached bath and a cot for the attendants. A cable television is available. Suite- This is a deluxe room for a single patient, with an attached bath and an attendants cot. Added features are it has cable television, A/C, a refrigerator and a sitting room attached to the room for guests.

Who should we contact for enquiries regarding the Medico-legal cases?
Please contact the Hospital Reception or the Medical Records Technician for any information regarding the Medico-legal cases.

What is the procedure to get a wound certificate for a Medico-legal case?
Please submit the FIR (First Information Report) copy from the police station along with a requisition letter for the wound certificate.
For an assault case the wound certificate will be issued to the police or the legal authority(lawyer) only.

Who should the requisition letter be addressed to?
The requisition letter should be addressed to either the Medical Superintendent or Medical Officer.

How do I get an FIR copy?
An FIR copy could be got from the police station in whose vicinity the incident, that resulted in a Medico-legal case, took place.

Who is the doctor who issues the wound certificate?
The Medico-legal Consultant of the Hospital issues the wound certificate.

Who will be attending to the case in the court?
When your case is heard in the court it will be attended to by the Medico-legal Consultant.

What is the procedure to get an extract of the case sheet for an assault case?
To get an extract of the case sheet for a patient involved in an assault case, a requisition from a legal authority is required.
